One of the greatest challenges facing StLouis  and urban communities across the nation, how to reduce crime and manage their police departments. 
Those were our topics on this Juneteenth episode, of the KDHX podcast Tangazo. ———

Tim Person a Tangazo cohost, StLouis Attorney, Charles Kirksey, social justice activist Walle Amusa and Alicia D Crudup, activist, community organizer and Park Commissioner, Minneapolis Minnesota, were my guest, for a lively discussion on urban crime and the role of police departments, in its reduction. ———

A scathing New York Times article, detailing the failure of efforts to defund the Minneapolis Police Department, following the convictions of MLPD officers for the public murder of George Floyd. ———

Rising crime as in StLouis, forcing progressive oriented cities, to take another look at the impact of defunding and are reforming police efforts, are having on crime prevention. ———

This discussion is also fueled by the recent mass shooting in down town StLouis, involving 10 are more young black people, with one fatality. 
Is it a cultural matter, as is passionately discussed by our activists, are solely a police matter, requiring more police officers. ——
