This podcast is dedicated to the memory of the late former St. Louis County Councilwoman, Hazel Erby, and to late former Missouri State Representative, the Honorable Betty Thompson.

Today's guests discuss the lives of these two African American women and highlight the ways in which their legacies live on.

Topics include Senator Chappell-Nadal's early career and how it was impacted by both women, and the events that lead up to the founding of the Fannie Lou Hamer Democratic Coalition of Saint Louis County.
