Tangazo is a meeting place where we share ideas and explore efforts to improve our human conditions and quite simply make our lives better. All are welcome, none will be judged, but all are challenged to look beyond ourselves and our notions of how others think about issues of cultural, political and social significance. We are building bridges of communication between the many groups that make up the St. Louis Metropolitan Region by sharing and reflecting on the stories and lives of a diverse group of guests.

Former Tallahassee Mayor Dorothy Inman-Johnson, was also bubbling with excitement and confidence that Vice President Kamala Harris, was the right choice to defeat former President Donald J Trump, in November. -----

Throw in a couple of comments from listeners and the second hour was a fast paced, in-depth, continuation of the excitement created by President Biden’s decision, to pass the torch to his VP Kamala Harris, by withdrawing from the 2024 presidential election. ——

In the first hour we focused on the Israeli war with Hamas, from a local Jewish perspective, with former ADL StLouis Chapter President Howard Loiterstein and Stuart Clayman, a leader in the StLouis and Missouri, Jewish community. Clayman is a longtime volunteer for the StLouis City Academy and has recently returned from a month long visit in Israel, where he tutored young Jewish refugees in math. ———-
We also discussed the Jewish community’s support for StLouis County Prosecutor Wesley Bell’s bid to unseat, first district Congresswoman Cori Bush, who has alienated the Jewish community, by her continued attacks on Israel and support for Palestinians. Also  her unwillingness to meet with Jewish community leaders, to discuss their concerns has the Jewish community committed to replacing her, with Bell. ——
